Hi! I'm a freelance illustrator with a B.F.A. from M.I.C.A., the Maryland Institute College of Art, where I also minored in creative writing. I enjoy portraiture, editorial illustration, pattern design, and movie posters. I work in a few different styles, usually using a combination of digital media and traditional drawing. I also enjoy painting, specifically with acrylics, watercolors, or gouache. I'm heavily influenced by film and literature, and my most illustrative works often deal with the relationship between viewer and subject. In portraiture, I aim to create specific moods or themes in each work by selecting specific color palettes or lighting for each individual subject. I aim to keep the spirit of sketching in my finished work, through the use of energetic line and unexpected texture.
My interests include Italian neo-realism, biker culture, traveling, cats, the 1980's, and Jimmy Stewart.
